Off Piste

Fresh Snow, Fresh Tracks - explore the unknown with us

Heli-skiing

Heli-skiing is off-trail, downhill skiing reached by helicopter, instead of a ski lift.

For many first-timers the word itself evokes images of extreme athletes leaping out of helicopters on to near-vertical slopes. It’s not like that! Think of a helicopter as the cable car of your dreams – safe and comfortable yet capable of reaching peaks far beyond the resort crowds in search of untracked snow.

Thanks to its successful development, heli-skiing is becoming increasingly popular among skiers and snowboarders, from experienced free-riders to off-piste first-timers.

Contrary to many people’s perceptions, most trips that we organise are not extreme at all. They are more similar to the gradient skiing you would find on a red slope in a resort. The main difference is that you will enjoy run after run of fresh powder snow.

We organise day trips in Switzerland with private helicopters and in small groups. Heli-skiing with Pinnacle Ski you will always enjoy amazing fresh powder and the most incredible views over Verbier and the Matterhorn.

Off-Piste Lessons & Guiding

Our off-piste guiding lessons & courses aim to build technique, confidence and awareness. Learn to ski different terrain with style or just have someone there to lead the way.

Imagine waking up in the morning, fresh snowfall from the night before. Whilst everyone else is skiing the same tracks, let our instructors and guides take you to the best unmarked spots in the resort.

We offer off-piste guiding lessons for children, adults and corporate groups in Megeve, St Gervais, Chamonix, Morzine and Val D’Isere.

Your instructor will take you to areas of the resort where you can be rewarded with fresh powder, allowing you to leave your mark in the mountains.

Exploring more of the mountain in natural terrain is a whole new level of fun compared to groomed pistes. However, off-piste skiing comes with an increased level of risk and it requires adapting to a  different style of skiing.

Your safety is paramount. Basic avalanche training and safety kit are all part of the session.

Instructors will teach you to adapt your piste skiing ready for the deeper snow, from beginners right through to extreme routes to challenge even the most advanced skiers.
